Event Description

Classical Movements is proud to announce the 10th Serenade! Washington DC Choral Festival in 2022: Return, Remember, Rejoice!

After the profound losses and monumental shifts of the past year and a half, we see a need to come together and celebrate our collective hope for the future. At the same time, we seek to reflect on and honor the work, sacrifices, and heartache we have all undergone in this time of great uncertainty.

Join other choirs from around the US and the world in iconic Washington, DC, June 30 to July 4, 2022, for 5 days of adventure, joyous music-making, and togetherness to mark the journey we have all undertaken in the past year. You will have the chance to collaborate with other choirs of all ages, learn from your colleagues and key industry figures in meaningful workshops, and engage the local community with acts of service. The week culminates in a festive finale concert in a special local venue in the Washington, DC area, known for its fine choirs, churches, and concert halls.

Washington, DC is known around the world for its famous monuments and storied government halls, but the culture of the city itself is often overlooked. Look beyond the white limestone to the heart of the city, and get to know it as the locals do: a vibrant and diverse cultural center with music and art in its soul.

Celebrate the return of choral music for us, and join us for the 10th Serenade! Washington DC Choral Festival! Together, we will return, remember, and of course, REJOICE!
