Join THECHO!R in our fifth anniversary year

THECHO!R, one of Melbourne's most dynamic and musically diverse unauditioned adult choirs, created by Dr Jonathon Welch AM, invites you to join in their 5th Anniversary Year with an exciting range of performance opportunities and amazing repertoire starting on Wednesday January 22, 2014.

2014 will see THECHO!R begin the year leading the "Big Sing" for Melbourne Recital Centre's 5th birthday on Sat Feb 8, followed by special guest appearances in "Game Show" for the inaugural Festival of Live Art in March, Melbourne International Singers Festival in June, performing the World Premiere of "Street Requiem", and the Australian Premiere of "Killer Queen" arranged and conducted by Dr Kathleen McGuire and a host of other outstanding concerts throughout the year.

Vocalist Phillip Cheah and pianist Trudy Chan, together known as the Cheah Chan Duo, present a recital on November 8, 2014 at 8:00pm at the Church of Saint Luke in the Fields. Their program in honor of Veterans Day, "Brazen Guns and Gentle Doves," includes music by Ned Rorem, Kurt Weill, and Maurice Ravel, and poetry by Walt Whitman, and explores the themes of war and peace through the eyes of composers and poets from the 1800s to today.More information at…See More
