Pastor we want this celebration to be more meaningful, memorable and sucessful... But we do have some concerns....

hi dad!

yes single pa rin di ko yata calling magka family. hehehe Sanay na ako. I'm living with my Mom. Dad passed away July 1997. My sister is working in London as a nurse Four years na sya don.
Yeah heard about Musicalifornia from bong and ate Florence They even sent pieces for the CMMA library pero konti lng din nanghihiram ng pieces kami-kami rin kasi medyo konti na lng may choir sa mga churches dito mostly big churches and mainline denominations. They can afford to order and buy their pieces naman.
Konti rin ang trained to teach choirs and mas popular ang praise and worship team and bands. Sad nga kasi sa ibang churches pag special occasions lng meron choir or singing group.
Sa ASCM most of my students walang choral background lumaki lahat sa praise and worship band hirap tuloy ako magturo ng ensemble and choral conducting for them it's just a subject na kasama sa curriculum. pero ok naman un 2 year church musicianship program namin 2 of our students nakapasa at nagtuloy na sa UP after they finished.(nag choral conducting yung isa fundamental baptist sya kasi and percussion major naman un isa) May individualized at classes for the different band instruments and voice. plus un instrument na concentration nila. walang conducting concentration hehehe may sound reinforcement subject at studio recording din. Sayang nga sa Febias dapat ganito ang music program para mas adapted sa mga churches ngayon.
Si Romerlito Macalinao ka batch mo ba? He also teaches at ASCM. Doctor na un hehehe sa Christian Education Dept naman sya.
sige haba na ng kwento ko thanks again for keeping in touch. Til nest email.

God Bless!

Pastor Je,
Wow, Really are you with FEBC Before?
Baw, I had a chance last march 2005 to be a program host of DYVS' Salmo tueday edition for one month, It was a fun and memorable experience and to think its live, some funny thing happen in the middle of the program and can't help myself but laugh...hahahah...
Before the manager of DYVS when I was very very young pa was Tita Enda Agustin...
Now... Si Sir Ralph Belzonce..
The people there is still the same... manang Connie and Pastor Catalan... Ma'am Enda Earl and some are new like Ivah Mae delos Reyes and with some office workers.
But still its manong Nestor and manong Edgar Lacson as sound Technician.

accutually I'm linving in Phanocoy Village and our house is really near the station DVYS...

Wow, it's small world after all... thank you once again.. hope you could help us with my favor hihihi thanx for all the blessings!

My husband's name is Rafael (Paeng) Abis from Mindanao. We get to travel and visit him at times and he is home for a 2 week break every 8 weeks. We opted for this present set up because our son is schooling and will think of another one when he goes to college- By then I may have to think about joining him. But also I also need to think about leaving my music studio to somebody who would be willing to move to Palawan and run this business.

Paeng's contracts are family friendly as he can say yes or no to a job and opt for 6 month assignments and this is because our son is still a minor but when he goes to college, it will be an entirely different story... abangan! The last twelve months naman my husband was home most of the time and was out every other month for 3 weeks to conduct trainings mostly in Africa. This next assignment will just be for 3 months. We are praying for the Lord's leading re: our son's college education- as to where and what it will be then we do the next move! Have a great day!!!

hi "dad"!

I'm helping two churches sa choir ministry sa Grace Bible Church (kasama ko dun si Lorie Balaoro) and Grace Christian. They sing alternate Sundays so I am able to be with them. Right now I'm teaching part time din at Asian Seminary for Christian Ministries sa Makati at sa De La Salle- College of St Benilde. I taught at Febias 2001-2004 and was OIC of the music department for one year. Uwi ka ba 60th Anniversay na ng Febias this Sept.

Stay in touch ronfrias@yahoo.com ang email ko and also un din ang friendster and multiply account ko add me if you have those din.

Hola! We have an only child, a 14 year old teenage boy. Kulitis na kaayo. I met my husband in the refugee camp here in palawan in 1991. That time i was working as music coordinator for the UN-funded school for children and he was in the durable solutions unit of UNHCR. We got married in '93 and were HK based for some 3-4 years because he was assigned to UNHCR-HK . We came home to build a family- in case there were more children coming but there was just really one. We thank God for this big baby tho'. In 2002 he went back to UNHCR as protection officer covering the south asian region then in 2005 he joined the Norwegian Refugee Council. He is going to be based in Africa in the next months to manage some programs for NRC there. We practically live in a suitcase- and enjoying the journey. My son is now in third year high school. I've had attempts at attending musicalifornia and is looking forward to the day i will really get to be there. My schedules just don't match really. I missed the one two years ago because i have friends from the college of music who went to attend the conference. Sayang. But we were somewhere else naman kase. Nice catching you here! Hi to your wife and children. I guess you have an idea how it is to be in a family of humanitarain workers since your wife had the chance to serve the refugees as well. God bless you work!

The Threshold Bookcast : Chapter 13 : Keys To Ascension

Chapter 13 : Keys To AscensionRahu Lüli, the teenage monk from Kõrgus, is once again the central character of the weekly instalment of the Threshold Bookcast. This time, we find the novice reminiscing as he explores unknown territory uphill, following a hunch that has occurred to him prior to the morning ritual. « « Gazing up, the apprentice had detected an odd detail. Something was decidedly wrong about the view, and it couldn't but have a meaning. Over the years, the pitch black walls of…See More

Rossini: Feminist Crusader

Taconic Opera will be presenting a fully orchestrated mass in June by the famed composer, Gioacchino Rossini, widely known for his comedic operas like The Barber of Seville and, of course, the universally recognizable overture from his opera William Tell.  However, this is not just any Mass: it has a very remarkable historical component that would be of interest to both music historians and women everywhere.  The Petite Messe Solennelle (small solemn mass) was originally written to feature…See More

Maryland Choral Society: Dona Nobis Pacem at Mount Calvary Catholic Church

May 20, 2012 from 4pm to 7pm
Ralph Vaughan Williams's Dona Nobis Pacem, written in the years just prior to the outbreak of World War II, blends the poetry of Walt Whitman with the cry for peace ("Dona nobis pacem") embodied within the Agnus Dei of the traditional Latin mass. It is a piece of tremendous drama, emotional scope, and eloquence, and it has much wisdom to offer to us and the world in which we live. The Maryland Choral Society will perform the piece in the rarely-heard version for strings and piano, a reduced…See More
