Hello Sacramento Choral Society members!

My name is Paulo Faustini and I just joined this interesting website. How do you like it?

I am posting information regarding the a cappella program in Umbria, Italy, that I have founded 4 years ago. It is called Umbrian Serenades - Choral and Cultural Tastings in the Green Heart of Italy. We take choral enthusiasts to perform in breath-taking cathedrals in Italy, such as the Duomo in Spoleto (where we are based), the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, and this year the main cathedral in Orvieto. The program lasts about 13 days and participants get to live as locals in the medieval town of Spoleto, with day trips to nearby towns. We also include a cultural event every day, be it a wine tasting, cheese, tasting, a cooking class, walking tour with a professional local guide, etc. This summer we will have a fully costumed medieval closing dinner! It is a life transforming experience that we provide as it includes all of our passions: teaching, choral music, singing, art history, travel, wine, food, etc.!

We are in the process of accepting applications and hearing people until we have a vocal chamber group of 24. Non-singing travel companions are welcome to join as well. Here is a link to our website for more information: http://www.umbrianserenades.com/about/index.html

If you or any choristers of yours should have any interest in our unique and off-the-beaten-path choral and cultural experience, please do not hesitate to contact me through this website, or our website, or at mail@umbrianserenades.com, toll free (888) 664-2355.

All the best to you as we enter into the holiday season!

Cordiali Saluti,

Paulo Faustini

Bath Camerata: Good Friday Concert at Somerset

April 14, 2017 from 7:30pm to 9pm
For many - performers and audience alike - Bath Camerata’s annual Good Friday concert in Wells Cathedral is the highlight of their musical calendar.  And for many reasons.  Firstly the building is magnificent – who cannot be impressed by this golden beauty sat in the heart of the Somerset Levels, with its impressive, intricate West End carvings and 14th Century bracing at the Crossing.  Secondly the acoustic is clear and supportive, making singing in it an absolute joy.  But also because this…See More
