I was born and lived al of my life as an asthmatic. When very young ,everyone thought I would die. I entered the Air Force only when my doctor wrote the recruiter a letter that I would be able to work in the Air Force.
From such meager beginnings, I began to sing to improve lung function and to improve my ability to breath. If you can hardly breath, s i n g!!

We're going to exhibit at Macworld in San Francisco all this coming week, so I may not be around to visit the site. But send me a quick email next weekend, Jan, and remind me to come take a look at what's happened in the meantime.

Wow, I do the same thing! I never heard anyone talk about that before. I don't remember singing as young as you do, but my subconscious seems to present me with the needed lyrics/song at any given time to fit my situation. It's actually very comforting; sometimes amusing.

I've been singing since I was in the womb. In fact, think I popped out singing! Probably something like "Hallelujah." Growing up, I could always find a song that fit my current situation or trauma (especially those with boys). Then I'd sing it around the house.

Let's start with introductions. That is, how did you get introduced to music as something meaningful to you, and more specifically, to singing?

I've been a choral singer most of my life, and it's hard to imagine not singing. I joined this Singer Network this past year, and it is a non-profit organization with a wealth of resources online. I decided to form this group as a way of introducing others to this organization. Is anyone else a member? What is your experience?
