Soloists needed for performances of CARMINA BURANA in the Chicagoland area in May & June, 2011. Soprano, tenor, baritone. These are paid engagements for professional vocalists.
Performances in Orchestra Hall/Symphony Center, Chicago (home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra) and Wentz Hall, North Central College, Naperville, with the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, The Naperville Chorus and Young Naperville Singers, under the baton of CBASO founding music director, David Katz.

Do NOT apply if you are unavailable for any of the dates below. You must be able to schedule all four:
Dress rehearsal Naperville: Thurs, May 5, 2011 at 7:30 pm
Performance Naperville: Sat, May 7, 2011 at 8 pm
Dress rehearsal Chicago: Wed, June 1, 2011 at 7:30 pm
Performance Chicago: Sun, June 5, 2011 at 7:30 pm
FEE OFFERED: The inclusive fee is $1500 per soloist, payment to be made by check immediately following the Chicago performance. No travel, housing, or per diem is offered. Preference will be given to artists living within driving distance of Chicago.
APPLY: Send a complete packet of materials including cover letter, headshot, resume, reviews and recommendations; include a DVD or CD of yourself in performance. (DVD preferred). If you are unable to supply performances of the solo selections from Carmina Burana on the tape, do provide representative opera or oratorio repertoire that shows your skill and experience, and appropriateness for the roles. If you have performed Carmina before, be sure to tell us in the cover letter when and with whom. Be sure to include an email address where you can be reached.
