1. WORLD CHOIR CHAMPIONSHIPS

As a culmination of all its activities INTERKULTUR Foundation in collaboration with the Province of Gyeongnam will present for the first time the GRAND PRIX OF CHORAL MUSIC! INTERKULTUR’s intention is to establish an event where the top choirs of the world may compare their skills in a high class contest. The best choirs of the world are welcome to take part. Contestants will be choirs that have demonstrated a very high artistic standard throughout a longer period of time; choirs that boast outstanding results achieved at reputed MUSICA MUNDI choir competitions and choirs that have gained recognition through successful participation in other prestigious international competitions or festivals.
Yet the Choral Grand Prix will only follow the philosophy of INTERKULTUR if such a competition is integrated in a broader event, which is open to all choirs. This is the reason why the Grand Prix of Choral music is combined with two other big events: the 2nd Asian Choir Games and the Korea International Open Competition.
